Interview #2
I just got off the phone for an interview with Big Huge Games and I think it went reasonably well. My tendency to ramble while I’m trying to piece together how I want to say something continues to annoy me, but I hope I did a decent job of realizing what I was doing and just ending the thought. I’m also kicking myself for not thinking about one of the questions they asked a little bit longer before I said I couldn’t remember, because I remembered that const after a member function protects the member variables of that class from being changed the instant I hung up the phone and the pressure was off again. Curses. Well, hopefully I presented myself in a way that I know what I’m doing beyond those few things I got hung up on.
Although, now that I think about it, this interview might end up being a little tougher than the last one since this was an interview with a couple of technical people and the last one was with a guy from HR. I think most of my answers ended up geared more toward the HR angle from the first interview than they were for people who would understand what I was talking about if I went on about bits, casting, ray picking, etc. I should probably stop analyzing how the interview went in my head, because the more I think about it, the worse I think it went. I always hate when nervousness prevents me from portraying myself in the best light.

Don’t stress about it man. It’ll come to you, I was nervous after my interview also. Hope all goes well for you.
Heh, it turns out that you’re completely right. Now hopefully one of these turns into a job eventually.
